Community Corrections

We facilitate behavioral change in the lives of at-risk populations that results in a safer community.

We will become leaders in the field of offender rehabilitation and re-entry through the application and use of evidence-based practice.

Program Description

Daviess County Community Corrections began in September 1983. The program started with two components and one employee. We now have five components and nine full-time and two part-time employees. Our program offers sentencing alternatives for Daviess Circuit and Superior Court.

Our current components are:

  • Home Detention for both juveniles and adults
  • Work Release
  • Day Reporting
  • Community service restitution for both juveniles and adults
  • The Suspension Assignment Program for students suspended from school
